Holly went to take out the trash one day when she saw a stray dog next to her property. She started asking the neighbors about the puppy, and they said they had seen the dog wandering around for months. Lots of people tried to feed her, but she didn’t trust anyone. But Holly went and sat outside to see how the stray would respond.
But she did not come to her. The dog was skinny and always kept its tail folded between its legs. She was just terrified. Holly couldn’t sleep knowing that this lovely dog was lonely, but if she tried to get close, she knew Luna would run away.
Then one day, Holly was out with her puppy. And Luna just caught watching and watching as if she wanted to play. Luna started to move around and finally, she got close!
“She approached me for the first time and kinda bowed her head as if she wanted me to fondle her,” said Holly.
It turns out Luna didn’t have a microchip which made Holly so happy – she could adopt it on her own! “It was just unbelievable to watch it bloom,” she said. How amazing is that?
